The grapes for this wine are sourced from vineyards across California’s North Coast, including areas known for producing Cabernet used in Napa Valley blends. Many lots come from Lake County and Monterey County, where warm inland days and cool nights allow Cabernet Sauvignon to develop ripe fruit while maintaining balance and structure.

The wine is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, often complemented by small portions of Bordeaux varieties such as Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, which add color, structure, and aromatic complexity.

The fruit is harvested in the cool early morning hours and carefully sorted before fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. A cold soak is typically used to extract color and flavor before fermentation.
