Hailing from the Isle of Islay in Scotland, the whisky is produced using a mashbill of Islay-grown rye and malted barley—cementing the distillery’s commitment to provenance and sustainable local agriculture. Matured for 7 years in American oak, it is bottled at 50% ABV. This is nicknamed a “single grain” or “single rye” to highlight its grain-centric mash and Islay roots, yet retains the uncompromising quality Bruichladdich is known for.
