"Trascender" — Spanish for "to transcend" — carries genuine weight as a name, and this release continues Clase Azul's celebrated Día de Muertos tradition, honoring the ritual and memory at the heart of Mexico's Day of the Dead celebration. Clase Azul, founded in 1997 in Guadalajara and fully Mexican-owned and operated, has built its entire reputation on treating tequila as a genuine vessel for Mexican art and culture rather than simply a spirit in a bottle — each Día de Muertos decanter is individually hand-painted and hand-numbered by skilled ceramicists, meaning every single bottle is genuinely one of a kind, and once the numbered run sells through, it is gone permanently.
The tequila itself is a genuine ensamble of añejo tequilas, matured between 12 and 38 months in first-use American whiskey barrels — a deliberately layered blending approach that builds real depth and complexity well beyond a standard single-batch añejo. Nose
