Domaine de l’Abbaye, surrounded by terraces was once connected to the Abbey of Thoronet. At that time, the monks were cultivating the land that now belongs to Frank Petit. In 1990 this Cuvée was the first to be rated 3 stars by the Guide Hachette in France. The selection of this UV protectant blue bottle highlights Franc Petit’s uncompromising dedication to high quality rosé.
The grapes are picked by hand to keep them as fresh as possible. Boxes of 15 kg of grapes are brought to the cellar and then, their contents are spread on large sorting tables.
Gravity vinification by "saigné" technique; when a winemaker desires to impart more tannins and color to a red wine, some of the pink juice from the “must” can be removed at an early stage in what is known as “bleeding” method.
Varietal Composition: 60% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 10% Cinsault
Delicate, ultra-pale pink, the color protected in fact by the bottle, this vintage brings us tons of freshly cut white flowers on the nose, complete with a semi-savory herbal note. In the mouth you get delicacy but with wonderful saturation of fresh fruit and more white flowers. Truly lovely, festive wine to be opened at any time of the day, and on special occasions.
Aperitif, or with seafood, raw or cooked lobster, fish and meat dishes, but also exotic cuisines.
