PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Fourth generation grower and winemaker David Leclapart farms three hectares in the Premier Cru village of Trépail within the Motagne de Reims, northeast of Ambonnay and Bouzy. He defines four principles that form the cornerstones of his work as a winemaker as Purity, Energy, Pleasure, Ecology. In accordance with these, he chose to apply a biodynamic approach to his work in his vineyards when he took the reins at his family estate. He believes this philosophy’s basis in the utmost respect for the four creative forces (water, earth, wind, and fire) is in perfect accordance with his four principles. He completely abandoned the use of fertilizers, herbicides, and chemical pesticides, intent on transmitting the inherent qualities.
