Produced from a site in the middle of the village, the 2014 Monthélie le Meix Bataille bursts with aromas of ripe cherries, peonies, licorice and berries. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with velvety tannins and ripe acids.
This 300-year-old domaine located in the heart of the village of Monthélie is today directed by Cataldina Lippo, the granddaughter of André Porcheret who inherited the estate from his adoptive parent, the late "Miss" Armande Douhairet.
