Dos Maderas Luxus Double Aged Rum is a luxurious and richly developed spirit that bridges Caribbean warmth and Spanish sherry-cask elegance. Origins & Craftsmanship
Crafted by the house of Dos Maderas, this rum begins its journey from Caribbean distilled spirits (from regions such as Guyana and/or Barbados) matured first in tropical conditions for roughly 10 years in ex-bourbon casks. Following this tropical maturation, the rum is transferred to Spain—specifically to the sherry-region cellars of Jerez de la Frontera—where it spends an additional 5 years aging in old Pedro Ximénez sherry casks via solera or double-maturation techniques. This “double-aged” process (tropical ageing + Spanish sherry cask ageing) gives the rum its distinctive depth, complexity and finish. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) unless stated otherwise.

Tasting Profile

• Nose: Rich aromas of vanilla bean and toasted almond, interwoven with tobacco leaf, black tea and subtle dried fig depth. The sweetness of toffee and caramel appears alongside gentle wood smoke.

• Palate: Smooth and full-bodied, the entry features roasted nuts, dark chocolate, and ripe dried fruits (figs, raisins). Mid-palate reveals spiced oak and a hint of old leather, balanced by lingering honey-sweetness.

• Finish: Long and velvety—oak tannin and mellow spice melt into a finish of crème caramel, soft tobacco and a final wave of dried fruit and mellow sherry-influence.
