This third installment does something the series hasn't tried before — where the first two Mundial releases were both añejos, this is the collection's first reposado, aged nearly six months in Basil Hayden Toast oak barrels, staves toasted and then flash-charred before ever holding bourbon, now passed along to rest El Tesoro's own Reposado. Because Beam Suntory owns both Basil Hayden and El Tesoro, this kind of cross-brand barrel sharing is genuinely possible — and this specific pairing is a one-time-only release.
