Feudi di San Gregorio was established in 1986 and is situated in the village of Sorbo Serpico in Campania’s Irpinia region, producing contemporary styles of local indigenous grapes.
"Even the base Fiano shows spectacular results in this lucky vintage. The 2015 Fiano di Avellino is a fragrant and layered white wine with medium-bodied appeal and plush aromatic intensity. The bouquet delivers pristine aromas of peach, pear and Golden Delicious apple with honey and toasted pine nut at the back. The wine glides smoothly over the palate, imparting sweet richness and fresh acidity along the way.
Among these notes are my first published reviews of Feudi di San Gregorio's new Feudi Studi line. These include three expressions of Fiano, three Grecos and two Aglianicos, all from experimental single-vineyard sites. They are packaged in distinctive squat bottles and only 2,000 units were made of each. Winemaking sees 12 months in stainless steel and frequent bâtonnage. . . ." Robert Parker 92 points
