Feudi di San Gregorio was established in 1986 and is situated in the village of Sorbo Serpico in Campania’s Irpinia region, producing contemporary styles of local indigenous grapes. This 2017 Greco di Tufo bianco was fermented and aged in stainless steel on lees, offering a ripe bouquet of white peach, pears and apricots with a subtle, fresh complexity of mint and fern. The palate is lively and mineral making this a lovely white to pair with fresh fish and white meat dishes.
"The 2017 Greco di Tufo is a generous and abundant white wine. This Greco usually undergoes partial malolactic fermentation (usually about 30% of the total mass), but this vintage saw no malolactic fermentation at all. The wine evidently had enough natural creaminess and richness created by the hot and dry conditions of the growing season. You do get a lot of texture here with fragrant tones of peach, apricot and baked apple. Surprise, surprise: the 2017 vintage is proving to be a great one for the Greco grape. You can't beat this fantastic value." Robert Parker 92 Points
