Founded in 1837 and now produced in Windsor, Ontario, under William Grant & Sons, Gibson’s Finest is a staple Canadian whisky. The 12-year-old expression is expertly blended, aged exclusively in hand-selected, freshly emptied Kentucky bourbon barrels, and matured through Canada’s extreme climate conditions—hot summer humidity and frozen winter cold—to deepen flavor
Appearance & Aroma: Pale to medium gold. The nose opens with dried and canned pear, peach, crème brûlée, butterscotch, golden raisin, hints of caramel custard, and soft oak spice. A subtle background of black pepper layered with vanilla and allspice adds intrigue.
Palate: Sweet and silky—vanilla, caramel corn, candied pear, and butterscotch transition into mid-palate notes of burnt caramel, peppery spice, and oak. A brighter side emerges with lemon zest, candied citrus peel, floral yellow plum, and lingering black-and-white pepper.
Finish: Gracefully drying with lingering pepper and floral tones—balanced, refined, and quietly compelling.
