“United in the Game” is Jägermeister’s limited edition for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The iconic green bottle appears in 18 different designs, each paying homage to a different country, with about one million bottles available in more than 20 countries. This is the Mexico edition, dressed in Mexico’s colors, a collectible celebrating Mexico’s passion for the game during the 2026 tournament season. As Christian Suding of Mast-Jägermeister put it: “Football unites people, regardless of where they are from or which team they support. With ‘United in the Game,’ we celebrate exactly those shared moments and translate them into a limited edition for fans around the world.”
Inside is the same Jägermeister, the iconic herbal liqueur made since 1934, so this is a packaging release, not a new recipe. It’s a secret blend of 56 herbs, roots, fruits, and spices, with confirmed ingredients including cinnamon bark, cloves, ginger root, anise, star anise, licorice root, juniper berries, and citrus peel, macerated in alcohol, filtered, blended with water and sugar, and rested in German oak barrels before bottling at 35% ABV. The tasting notes: a nose of “licorice, citrus peel, star anise, cinnamon, ginger, herbs, clove, and baking spice”; a palate of “bittersweet herbs, dark spice, orange peel, root botanicals, light sweetness, and warming spice”; and a finish that is “smooth and herbal with lingering citrus, spice, licorice, clove, and bittersweet depth.”
Jägermeister is traditionally served ice-cold, since cold temperatures suppress some of the more medicinal herbal notes and make the liqueur smoother for shots. At room temperature, the full 56-botanical complexity is more apparent, and it can be sipped slowly like an Italian amaro. It’s also the foundation of the Jägerbomb and a good mixer with cola or ginger beer. With the tournament over, this is now a commemorative bottle, a good match for soccer fans, Mexican-heritage collectors, and anyone building a set of the 18 country designs.
