Jägermeister’s “United in the Game” is a special bottle designed for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a USA edition with soccer-inspired artwork that celebrates what the brand calls “the energy, passion, and shared excitement of global soccer.” Inside is the same Jägermeister, the iconic herbal liqueur that has been made since 1934. This is a packaging release, not a new recipe, and it comes in a limited run that was made for the tournament season. With the tournament behind us, it’s now a commemorative collectible.
The liqueur itself is a secret blend of 56 herbs, roots, fruits, and spices, with confirmed ingredients including cinnamon bark, cloves, ginger root, anise, star anise, licorice root, juniper berries, and citrus peel. The botanicals are macerated in alcohol, filtered, blended with water and sugar, and rested in German oak barrels before bottling at 35% ABV. The result is a “rich, bittersweet profile with distinctive notes of star anise, cinnamon, ginger, and citrus,” that is “harmoniously balanced through an unhurried aging process.” Other tasting descriptions list licorice, citrus peel, clove, baking spice, and bittersweet herbs.
Jägermeister is traditionally served ice-cold, straight from the freezer, since the cold suppresses some of the more medicinal herbal notes and makes the liqueur smoother for shots. It is also the key to the Jägerbomb, and it works over ice with a twist of citrus or mixed with cola or ginger beer.
