Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced at the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Kentucky, Blender’s Edition 01 is the inaugural release in a new series dedicated to the art of blending. Led by 8th-generation Master Distiller Freddie Noe, the project focuses on hand-selecting barrels to highlight specific flavor profiles—in this case, the sweeter side of Knob Creek.

The bourbon is composed of carefully chosen barrels aged at least 10 years and matured in heavily charred American oak (No. 4 char), a hallmark of Beam production.

Bottled at 106 proof (53% ABV), the whiskey balances elevated intensity with a rounded, confectionery profile—intentionally showcasing blending precision rather than single-barrel variation. 

Tasting Profile

Nose: Caramel-forward with layers of vanilla bean, toasted sugar, and subtle fruit, backed by classic Beam nuttiness and light oak.

Palate: Rich and full-bodied, leaning sweet—brown sugar, vanilla frosting, maple, and cherry with a rounded, almost confectionery texture.

Finish: Long and soft for the proof, with lingering vanilla, gentle spice, and seasoned oak.
