PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
From one of Bas-Armagnac's most prestigious estates, Domaine de Jaurrey, and bottled by the historic Laberdolive family—since 1893—this vintage showcases the power of single-vintage expression in France’s oldest brandy region. Sourced from grape varieties like Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard, and Baco, the eau-de-vie matured gracefully in estate-seasoned oak for around two decades.
Displays an inviting bouquet of dried plums, dates, orange peel, and candied fruit, woven through with vanilla, cedarwood, and warming baking spice. Over time, notes of passion fruit and spicy cedar emerge, maintaining freshness alongside mature richness
Rounded and silky, the palate begins with honey, caramel, and dried figs, evolving into tobacco, dark spices, raw almonds, and gentle citrus zest. Oak is beautifully integrated, providing structure without austerity
Long, balanced, and nuanced—lingering layers of spice (cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg), rancio, citrus peel, and a slight astringency leave a lasting impression. Invites you back for another sip .
A prized single-vintage Armagnac representing classic Bas-Armagnac terroir in a Rain of "sables fauves" soils
Crafted by a renowned estate with nearly 130 years of deep regional knowledge .
A rare spirit offering both rich maturity and vintage character, with typical pricing around $200–$350, depending on market .
Enjoy neat at room temperature, or lightly chilled. Excellent as a contemplative digestif or paired with dark chocolate, fruit desserts, nuts, or fine aged cheese.
In short:
Laberdolive’s 1993 Domaine de Jaurrey Bas‑Armagnac is a finely balanced, richly layered vintage treasure—combining golden orchard fruit, warm spice, refined oak, and complex rancio into a luxurious, enduring spirit. A testament to Bas-Armagnac's timeless elegance and Laberdolive’s craft.
46% ABV, 700 ml, Bottled January 2022
"The Laberdolive Armagnacs are hand made, vintage dated single-vineyard expressions of what a brandy should be. I’ve told you the stories before: the legend goes that Nikita Khruschev once diverted his elaborate and heavily-guarded entourage to visit the distillery to acquire a bottle; and French President Jacques Chirac brought along a Laberdolive 1972 to toast on a state visit to China. These bottles are in all the top restaurants in Europe; David Ridgway, chef-sommelier at La Tour d'Argent in Paris, said that Laberdolive is "considered for a long time to be the benchmark of Armagnac."
Bottle Size: All bottles are 750ML/700ML unless otherwise noted.
