Lepanto Solera Gran Reserva PX Brandy de Jerez is an exceptionally rich and expressive Spanish brandy that marries the traditional complexity of Solera aging with the intense sweet-sherry influence of Pedro Ximénez (PX) casks. Deep, silky, and layered with dried fruit and oak nuances, this is a contemplative after-dinner spirit that rewards slow sipping and reflective tasting.
Produced by González Byass in the historic Sherry Triangle around Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, this expression stands among the brand’s premium Solera Gran Reserva offerings. As with all Brandy de Jerez, the base spirit is distilled from Palomino Fino wine — a characteristic practice for the region that imparts a vinous fruit anchor to the spirit. The spirit is then aged in a Solera system, where younger and older brandies work together through fractional blending in a network of barrels.
What distinguishes the PX edition is the final stage of Solera aging in barrels that previously held legendary Pedro Ximénez sherry — one of Spain’s most intensely sweet, raisin-driven fortified wines. These PX barrels contribute additional sweetness, dried fruit concentration, and a velvety mouthfeel that enrich the traditional Solera Gran Reserva profile.

Nose:
Deep and inviting with intense aromas of raisins, figs, and prunes, enriched by oak spice, toasted walnut, and gentle vanilla. The PX cask influence frames the profile with a luxurious dried-fruit essence.
Palate:
Medium-to-full-bodied with a velvety sweetness that echoes the nose: PX-like raisin and molasses, balanced by soft oak spice, caramel, and dried fruit compote. Layers of toffee, leather, and subtle roast nuttiness add depth.
Finish:
Long and elegant, with lingering dried fruit warmth, gentle oak spice, and a hint of PX-driven sweetness that imbues a lingering, luxurious close.
