The Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2013 Brut Rosé is a masterclass in balancing vivacious fruit, structural elegance, and subtle complexity. With its layered red berries, vibrant citrus, and delicate spice, it's an expressive vintage that's both immediately delightful and shows the promise of graceful evolution. Perfect for elevated celebrations or thoughtful gifting, this champagne invites both appreciation now and anticipation for future cellaring.
This is a vintage rosé Champagne, signifying that all its grapes were harvested in a single year—2013, a notably cool vintage often praised for its expressive acidity and freshness
The blend comprises 44% Pinot Noir (including 14% red wine), 35% Chardonnay, and 21% Pinot Meunier—an unusual structure leaning heavily on Chardonnay, granting a vibrant elegance.
Aged under cork in Moët’s cellars for approximately seven years before disgorgement, it enters your glass with a poised maturity that marks it as the 44th vintage rosé in the Grand Vintage Collection.
Shows a radiant coral-pink hue with orange glints, and presents fine, persistent bubbles—a sign of sophisticated refinement.
Initial aromas evoke wild strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate seeds, as well as blood orange and exotic star fruit. As it evolves, nuances of black pepper, dark chocolate, cinnamon, dried flowers, and soft leather emerge, layered over a mineral-tinged, bracing freshness.
Wine Spectator gives it a poetic nod, calling it:
“Lithe and limber yet powered by a sculpted frame… with accents of oyster shell, lemon thyme and mandarin orange peel.”
On the palate, it delivers a voluptuous attack—firm and fleshy with crisp stone fruits like plum and cherry, balanced by chalky structure and fine astringency. The palate finishes elegantly with pink grapefruit and lime zest accents .
Critics echo this balance of power and finesse:
The finish is long and poised, with lingering flavors of red berries and citrus zest, highlighted by a refined texture and zesty closure.
Wine Enthusiast praises its taut fruit-freshness and aging potential, suggesting it will excel further into the mid-2020s.

"Like a dancer, this graceful rosé is lithe and limber yet powered by a sculpted frame, in this case, well-honed acidity and a minerally underpinning. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Disgorged September 2019. Drink now through 2031." 94 Points Wine Spectator
