Produced by Jim Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky, this bourbon follows the brand’s hallmark high-rye mash bill, inherited from its origin founder, Basil Hayden Sr. The “Bottled-in-Bond” designation means it was distilled by one distiller, in one season, matured for at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse, and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). The result is a sturdily structured Kentucky straight bourbon built for flavor and value.
Nose: A lively flourish of sweet corn and fresh orchard fruit, underlined by orange peel, vanilla, and warming baking spice.
Palate: Firm and energetic—with cinnamon-red-hot spice, caramel-toffee sweetness and a sharp rye pepperiness. Notes of roasted peanut, toasted oak and cherry pit emerge with a satisfying depth.
Finish: Medium-long and warming, featuring lingering rye spice, nutmeg, dark chocolate-tinged caramel and a dry oak edge that invites another sip.
