Belle Époque 2014 embodies refined luxury: a complex dance of orchard fruit, florals, brioche, and mineral precision. With excellent critical praise and long aging potential (ready now–2034+), it’s a gorgeous choice for celebrations, pairing, or gifting.
The flagship vintage of Perrier-Jouët, Belle Époque first debuted in 1964 and is renowned for its iconic Art Nouveau bottle adorned with white anemone flowers by Émile Gallé
Only produced in exceptional years, the 2014 vintage solidifies its prestige with top-tier fruit and craftsmanship
Composed of 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, and 5% Pinot Meunier, with six years of lees aging and a dosage of 8 g/L—striking elegance and finesse
Chardonnay from Grand Cru villages like Cramant and Avize gives minerality; Pinot Noir adds weight; Meunier brings freshness and fruit
Exudes refined scents of vine peach, poached pear, linden and hawthorn blossom, with layers of tropical white flowers and preserved lemons
Additional notes include raspberry nougat, red apple, white blossoms, delicate citrus oil, and a touch of almond biscotti
Medium-to-full-bodied with a vibrant mousse and creamy texture. On the palate: white peach, pear, rhubarb, then lemon cream, hazelnut, nougat, with fine saline minerals and white pepper on the finish
Balanced with luminous acidity and chalky, persistent finish—elegant yet expressive
Jeb Dunnuck: 94 pts—“fresh with aromas of white peach, fresh pineapple… lively mousse with white pepper finish”
Robert Parker: 93+ pts—“layered and textural… saline, mineral finish”
Wine Spectator: 94 pts—“pastry cream, yellow apple and pear, almond biscotti… bright, delicate acidity”
Serve gently chilled (9–10 °C) in a tulip glass to spotlight its aromatic elegance.
Ideal with shellfish, sole meunière, creamy poultry, and soft cheeses like Comté or Brie
"Made from 50% Chardonnay, with 45% Pinot Noir and the rest Meunier, and 8 grams per liter of dosage, the 2014 Champagne Belle Epoque Brut pours a brilliant straw hue and is fresh with aromas of white peach, a touch of fresh pineapple, and fresh tropical flowers. Medium to full-bodied, it has a more expansive feel on the palate, with more structure and a lively mousse that lends a touch of white pepper on the finish. The palate at this stage is ripe, with pure notes peach fruit, and it’s very fresh in its style." Jeb Dunnuck 94 Points

Medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, it’s fresh and charming with a delicately tense mid-palate and a saline, mineral finish. Long and penetrating, this is an excellent rendition of this cuvée." Robert Parker 93+ Points
