Crafted by Savage & Cooke (Dave Phinney, the creator of the Prisoner and other wines, was the instigator of this company), this 90-proof rye is aged for a minimum of three years in new charred American oak barrels and finished in French Grenache wine casks, resulting in a layered and complex profile. Expect a nose of orange peel, clove, and candied ginger, followed by a palate of berry compote, honey, and white pepper, culminating in a finish with exotic spice and toasty vanilla.
