Crafted by Master Sommelier Bobby Stuckey and Chef Lachlan Patterson, Scarpetta’s 2023 Pinot Grigio blends fruit from the Grave plains and hillside Colli Orientali (including limestone-rich Ponca), resulting in a wine with vibrant minerality and notable body.
Pours pale straw with a whisper of salmon. Bright stone fruit (melon, pear) and citrus zest characterize the nose, balanced by fresh honeyed florals and gentle almond notes.
Light-footed yet nuanced, it delivers crisp green apple, juicy pear, white peach, and melon layered over razor-clean minerality. The wine carries a lively, medium-bodied texture and vivid acidity.
