Glenrothes Bourbon Cask Reserve is the one whisky in the Glenrothes lineup matured exclusively in American oak ex-bourbon casks, offering a lighter, sweeter counterpoint to the distillery’s sherry-driven core style. It is approachable, vanilla-leaning, and soft, making it a friendly dram for those who prefer less sherry intensity but still want Speyside character.

Position in Range: Glenrothes Bourbon Cask Reserve (previously marketed also under the name Alba Reserve) is the only expression in the Glenrothes portfolio matured solely in bourbon casks in some markets.
Cask Regimen: Matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks (first and refill) — no sherry finishing.
ABV / Bottling Strength: Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof)
Kosher Certification: This expression is also certified kosher in some markets, aligning with its American oak maturation (since sherry barrels typically do not meet kosher standards).
