This blend is crafted by The Prisoner Wine Company in Napa Valley, drawing fruit from a range of vineyards and varietals across California with a strong Napa Valley backbone. The 2022 release continues the brand’s tradition of creative, rules-bending blends, combining several key varietals (including Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Sirah, Syrah and Malbec) to achieve both intensity and approachability. The wine is matured in a combination of French and American oak barrels with a portion being new wood, selected to support the fruit rather than dominate it.

Nose: A vibrant bouquet—ripe raspberry, boysenberry and dark cherry lead the way, joined by toasted coconut, vanilla bean, clove and a hint of dark chocolate.
