As Director of Winemaking Todd Ricard put it in a recent interview: "GRAIL has a powerful, concentrated style with big fruit and mouthfeel, not overwhelmed by oak... this is a deliberate choice. We monitor our extractions during fermentation very closely through daily sensory evaluations with our winemaking team to ensure we achieve a precise balance of structure and body, delivering a wine that is powerful yet still approachable today."
