Tullibardine Artisan is a Highland single malt made exclusively for the U.S. market, matured for its entire life in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and bottled non-chill filtered at the distillery. All of Tullibardine's single malts are distilled, matured, and bottled on site, and this expression is built to showcase the distillery's soft, honeyed, delicate house character with nothing standing between the spirit and the glass. A retailer's own tasting notes put it plainly: the non-chill filtration "keeps the malt lingering on the palate, providing length and depth."
Wine Enthusiast scored it 93 Points, describing "bright, fresh aromas" of "pear, honey and white flowers," with a "light, soft palate" that "opens with mild vanilla and roasted nuts," and noting that "a splash of water adds a waxy honey quality alongside subtle hints of ginger and smoke." Whisky Advocate's David Fleming found "honey, vanilla, lemon, and hints of lime and grapefruit on a sublime and pretty nose," with "cooked pears, marzipan, and freshly sliced apples," a palate of "vanilla cream, chocolate-covered caramel, fresh baked cookies, shortbread, and light spice," and "excellent length on the finish," summing it up as "a light and delicate dram; fresh, gentle, and supremely sippable." The official tasting notes describe the nose as "soft, honey and heather with hints of grassy meadows, vanilla, creamy fudge and subtle oak," and the palate as "sweet barley sugar, liquid honey and vanilla." A Whiskybase community member who paid a modest price found it "vanilla, toffee, light spice — a pleasant fade, at times with that young bourbon influence showing up," and called it "a single malt I'd use to introduce bourbon drinkers to Scotch whisky." This is a genuinely gentle, approachable Highland malt, and one of the easier recommendations for customers new to Scotch.

David Fleming, Whisky Advocate (Spring 2022):
"Honey, vanilla, lemon, and hints of lime and grapefruit on a sublime and pretty nose, with additional notes of cooked pears, marzipan, and freshly sliced apples. A smooth and very pleasant mouthfeel on a palate of vanilla cream, chocolate-covered caramel, fresh baked cookies, shortbread, and light spice. Excellent length on the finish, with more superb vanilla sweetness and light fruit. A light and delicate dram; fresh, gentle, and supremely sippable."
