First released in 1972 as an homage to Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin—the “Grande Dame of Champagne”—this cuvée represents the pinnacle of Veuve Clicquot’s winemaking. The 2015 vintage is composed of roughly 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, sourced primarily from Veuve’s historic Grand Cru vineyards in Aÿ, Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Avize. A warm, generous growing season produced grapes of exceptional ripeness and depth. Aged for nearly a decade in Veuve’s chalk cellars in Reims, the wine achieves remarkable finesse and balance, embodying the terroir’s energy and Madame Clicquot’s relentless pursuit of quality.
