Origins & Craftsmanship
Crafted at Garrison Brothers Distillery in Hye, Texas, Lady Bird starts its life as the distillery’s small-batch Texas Straight Bourbon. The specific process includes aging for approximately 4 years in new American white-oak barrels, then infusing the whiskey with Texas wildflower honey (around 8-9 months of infusion). After that, the spirit is finished in French XO cognac casks for an additional ~3 years. It’s bottled at 114 proof (57% ABV) in limited quantities, with each release demarcated and often accompanied by charitable support of wildflower-related conservation.

Tasting Profile

• Nose: The bouquet opens with rich wildflower honey, golden caramel and baked bread, layered atop candied raisins, dark cherry and charred oak. A hint of brown sugar and molasses edges in, with a touch of leather and dried fig.

• Palate: Full-bodied and rounded, the palate offers honeyed sweetness up front, followed by deep cognac barrel influences—dark chocolate, black-cherry compote, vanilla bean and toasted oak. Mid-palate brings baking spice (nutmeg, cinnamon) alongside a subtle peppery heat.

• Finish: Long and warming, the finish leaves sticky honey coating, damp oak char, raisin and fig-like fruit, and a trace of wildflower herbal note. The heat from the proof is present but balanced by richness and complexity.
