Produced in Oaxaca, Mexico, the heartland of artisanal mezcal, 400 Conejos Espadín Reposado begins with 100 % Agave Espadín — the most widely cultivated agave for mezcal, valued for its balanced sweetness and textural clarity.

Traditional mezcal methods are faithfully followed: agave piñas are slow-roasted in underground earthen pits, fermented with native yeasts, and double-distilled in copper or clay stills to preserve nuanced character. After distillation, this expression is rested in oak barrels for a period longer than a typical joven but shorter than an añejo, allowing integration of wood-derived nuance without overwhelming the core agave profile.
